What do you do in the space?

I co-operate Bay Bred Cellars, a microbusiness, where we are launching a women- and LGBTQ-owned delivery, distribution, and manufacturing service in Oakland. In Humboldt, I also assist with cultivation operations at Valley Tops Farm, a small family-owned farm. With close ties and personal connections to farmers in the Emerald Triangle, I specialize in sourcing and distributing their craft. Additionally, I serve as the CEO of THC Events, where we create unique and safe 420 experiences.

What has been the most challenging?

Organization within the company’s back end office. The entire supply chain is lacking internal administrative personnel. We’ve seen the challenges in the AP/AR department, but also in HR, inventory management, logistics and IT support. SOP’s only go so far and in an economic crisis with low wages and high turnover, companies have outsourced their back end office support, in turn causing more challenges.

How has developing a community of other women in cannabis impacted you?

It has been refreshing and inspiring to have found a community that aligns with my lifestyle and values. Recognizing that the plant itself is female, I am passionate about supporting the magical women in this space.
